Snowy Print Scenes for "The Snowy Day"

For this activity you will need to find someone who sews alot. They will have plenty of empty spools and if not, they can save them for you. Or use some bubble wrap- which you already save.

You will need:
Various empty spools or bubble wrap
white paint
paint brush or sponge
blue or black paper

We repurposed a sheet of paper painted blue in this craft.
Just dip the ends of the spools in the white paint and press onto the paper.

Falling Snow!

Or read Ezra Jack Keat's classic "The Snowy Day" and Peter in his red snowsuit.

We traced an image of Peter from the book onto white paper,
which we cut out and then traced onto red construction paper.
