Homemade Crinkle Toy for Babies

*As a handmade toy, the safety of this toy has not been rigorously tested. Always supervise your baby closely while using this toy.

You will need:
5 individual sized empty chip bags
1 child's knee high sock
non-toxic fabric markers

This sock turned light blue after being washed with a load of new jeans.

Draw a design pleasing to a baby on the sock with your fabric marker. Babies love faces.

Be sure to follow the directions on your box of fabric markers to "set" the ink into the fabric. Our fabric markers were non-toxic, odor-free, and permanent and did not require setting with heat- but many do.

Finish with details over the length of the sock.
Ours reminds us of 80's striped tube socks.

Stuff each chip wrapper into the sock one at a time.
Tie the end of the sock into a knot.

This toy gives great sensory feedback- visual, audio, and touch.
