But doesn't it look cool!
This slime was very well received among a group of first and second graders on Halloween Day who deemed it "Zombie Goo".
(No need to bring attention to the fact it is in place of candy) This stuff is cool enough on its own.
1/2-1 teaspoon Borax
1 five ounce bottle of clear glue (we used Elmer's brand)
warm water
2
bowls
Neon green food coloring
Empty the glue bottle into a bowl.
Fill the empty glue bottle with water (5 ounces) and add to the glue in the bowl.

Add neon green food coloring- we used 6 drops.
In a second bowl, add 1/2-1 teaspoon borax and 8 ounces of warm water.
Stir until borax dissolves completely.
SLOWLY add the borax mixture to the glue mixture.
You may not want to add all of the Borax mixture.
The more Borax you add, the thicker your slime will be.
If you want really runny slime, be sure to add about 1/2 ounce at a time until you get a consistency you like.
Also note, the slime will continue to thicken within the first 15 minutes or so.

We added 1 teaspoon of Borax and added the entire liquid so ours was firmer than the picture above.
Firmer slime makes less mess and since these were given out in school.......
We made 3 batches for 27 cups. We divided our slime into individual 2-ounce "condiment cups" with lids. |
Happy Halloween!
