Lemon Playdough

Today at play group we enjoyed lemon play dough as a welcome to the fresh warm weather we have been having. The smell is really invigorating!

We started with our standard play dough recipe....

We added 20 drops of yellow food coloring. After removing from the pan, we place our warm dough on parchment paper and kneaded in 1/2 teaspoon of lemon oil (not lemon extract). Other substitutes for lemon oil would be the zest of one lemon or 1-1/2 teaspoons of lemon extract.
