Non Candy Treats for Preschoolers & Toddlers

Our Alpine County Office is co-located next to the Office of Education's child development center. Other local non-profits serving families & children also lease space, making a natural "trick or treat" route for the children attending the center. The challenge was to create a fun treat that was not candy.
We are excited about this little bundle we will be passing out later in the week.

We purchased some paper Halloween bags- great for safety and better for the environment. 

We also bought a variety of Halloween themed paper straws. We had plenty of pipe cleaners on-hand- even some cool orange/yellow and black/white striped ones. We also bought "Goldfish" crackers for a savory treat.

Snip the straws into small sections and toss in the bag with a few pipe cleaners. 

And the children have a fun activity to take home.....

We made Homemade Finger Paints for the Infants & Toddlers.....

 

Red & yellow...to make orange :)
