Rainbow Patterning Activities for St. Patrick's Day

Sing the Rainbow song as you pattern...

Red and Orange
Green and Blue
Shiny Yellow
Purple Too
All the colors that we know
Live up in the rainbow!

If you want to make a paper chain necklace...

You will need:
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple construction paper
scissors
tape, glue or stapler to secure each strip into a circle

Our strips were 1 inch wide and 9 inches long. We patterned through "3 rainbows" and added a shamrock, punching a hole on top of the shamrock and a green circle and securing to the necklace chain with a piece of pipe cleaner. String will also work.
