We saved all of our bread tags over the summer thinking they might come in handy for a project. Initially we imagined the tags as feathers for an owl. We soon saw they came in many different colors. So while we though about a parrot, a monster or even a robot, we settled on the scales of a fish.
You will need:
Bread tags
Paper - any color
Glue
Marker to draw or trace an object
Liquid glue
Other "found" objects to add texture and color
First we traced the shape of a fish from a stencil. You could draw the object of your choice freehand or print from the web.
We glued the tags around the shape of the fish and added a black button eye.
We dove into our "found" objects art bin and found some green items to add as plants for our fish.
What will you make with your bread tags?
