Dotted Snowflakes

This week at play group we enjoyed painting blue snowflakes with by using stamps and q-tips. While we have had very little snow yet this winter, we are certainly hoping for more and we can enjoy these beautiful snowflakes while we wait. Thank you for "No Time for Flashcards" for the great activity idea.
We used strips of blue paper about 1" wide.
We had various kinds but the vivid ones seen above were from our The Snowy Day project and were the leftover painted blue pages.
We offered white, white opalescent and silver paints along with a few objects to paint/print with, including cotton swabs.
Children then glued their strips together to form a "snowflake" shape. Hang in a window or make several and hang from twine to form a garland throughout the winter.
