Paper Tube Owls

Many thanks to Happy Hooligans for the activity our Playgroup families enjoyed this week!
We also have a mystery donor to thank for dropping their collection of empty cardboard tubes off at our office. Thank you!
We had the children paint the tubes one color. While the paint took a few minutes to dry, they cut out fabric wings and felt beaks. Then the push the top of the tubes down on either side on the top to form the owl "horns/ears". They then glued on eyes, beaks, wings and decorations (craft gems and small buttons).
We needed ornaments to place on this year's holiday giving trees, so we asked the children to make twins: one owl to take home and one for the tree.
