Cotton Swab Skeletons
You will need:
- cotton swabs
- construction paper (a full sheet)
- glue
- scissors
- chalk pastels
- felt scraps
- construction paper scraps
- heart punch
- flower punch
- star punch
The cotton swabs should be pre-cut by an adult to various lengths as they are difficult for even school-age children to cut.
And we enjoyed pumpkin pudding!
Pumpkin Pudding Recipe
- 1 1/2 cups of cold milk
- 1 cup of heavy whipping cream (divided)
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or substitute 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon plus 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg and 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves)
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- gingersnaps
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- pinch salt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
Directions:
- In a bowl, combine milk, 1/2 cup cream, pudding mix and pie spice; whisk until thickened and smooth, about 2 minutes. Stir in pumpkin. Spoon into dessert dishes.
- Whip the remaining cream with the sugar, salt and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Place a dallop of cream on each pudding cup and garnish with a gingersnap cookie.
Yields 6-8 servings.
