Cardboard Clothespin Trees
At Play Group this week we made little stand up Christmas Trees with cardboard and clothespins.
You will need:
cardboard or paper board
green & brown paint
decorations
glue
paint brushes
Cut some triangles from a piece of cardboard. Ours measured about 4" at the base and 6" along the slope.
Offer green paint. We provided a flat green as well as a glitter green.
Allow paint to dry, then glue on decorations. (Note: the sparkly pom poms are lovely but need a lot of glue to stick. We ended up reinforcing them with hot glue, securing them in their original locations.) The jewels, sequins and paper punches were the easiest to work with. Buttons would work well too!
Also note: the end of clothespins aren't completely level so these work best if they have a wall or surface to lean against.
