Using 3-D fabric paint, kids can create peel and stick decals for windows. (They don't have to be holiday themed.)
All you will need:
3-dimensional (puffy) fabric paint
a picture (an original doodle or clip art from the computer)
a clear plastic bag
art smocks
Select a relatively simple drawing and tape inside of a clear plastic bag so it doesn't move around. If the image has some lines that don't connect- it will still work. You will just need to peel and stick the non-attached pieces separately.
Be sure to lay lines that are thick. This will make them easier to peel off and make the entire decal stronger for the transfer from the plastic bag to the window.
If you have separate colors, you may want to allow overnight drying between color applications to prevent smearing. The kids at our event completed the decal in one sitting and were happy with their results.
The entire decal should dry overnight. If some of the lines are really thick, you will need an additional day of drying.
This kite has been in our office window since February 2011 and was removed easily.
