Painting with Cars

Children who enjoy playing with cars will enjoy making painted tracks.

In the past we used white paper and brown paint to simulate mud.
This time we used a black posterboard and tinted our paint the yellow color of "lane" paint. (It looks the color of boxed macaroni and cheese.)

You will need:
black posterboard or butcher paper
yellow, orange and white paint
toy cars with different tread patterns

Mix the yellow, orange and white paint until you get the desired color.
It is more of a yellow-orange rather than orange-yellow, so begin with more yellow.

We mixed our paint on parchment paper on a sheet pan. Any washable, flat surface will work. Keep in mind you need plenty of room to drive the cars through the paint.
