Patriotic USA Flag Cards

This is an activity children of any age can complete with a little guidance.

You will need:
2 corks
2 foam or rubber stars
Red and blue watercolors in the tube- or red or blue ink pads
2 small cups
White stock card paper
Hot glue gun

Fold stock card paper in half and rotate to landscape. (The blank card pictured above needs to be rotated.)

For younger children- lightly draw a square for the blue stars in the upper left hand corner and lightly draw 6 horizontal lines for the red stars.

We added about 2 pea sized pieces of paint in a small cup and added a bit of water. Begin by adding drops being careful not to add to many and dilute the paint, You want the paint to be bright and vibrant.

Add one cotton ball to each cup. As the cotton ball soaks up the paint- your homemade paint pad will emerge.

Hot glue a star to the end of each of your corks. Press your starred cork into your paint pad and begin printing stars. It's that easy.
