To celebrate....create a horse tangram!

Children may also enjoy finding the year they were born and creating a tangram to celebrate themselves!
- Our original tangram template was fairly large (6-1/2 "x 6-1/2") and required a 12 x 18 piece of construction paper to allow enough space to assemble the tangram animal.
- Use the re-sized tangram template above (5"x 5") and all of the animals will fit on a standard sheet of construction paper- except the snake.
- The snake is long and will need a piece of paper 14 inches wide.
- We used a paper trimmer to reduce our construction paper to a standard paper size and used a copy machine to print multiple copies of the tangram template quickly.
- We used standard, untrimmed construction paper for the background.
- Tip- have children lay all pieces out before gluing to make sure the animal fits correctly on the page.
